Implicit racial attitudes were measured following a manipulation of social exclusion. Non-Black participants completed a game of Cyberball, followed by an IAT. Although a pro-White bias was found across both conditions, those in the exclusion condition showed significantly less implicit bias compared to those in the inclusion condition. Researchers will discuss possible explanations for these findings.
