The identity safety experiences of women of color remain underexplored. This study tested the effect of safety cues that were congruent with only one aspect of women of color’s identity (race or gender). Safety cues can improve perceived fairness and egalitarian ideology for women of color even when only one of their stigmatized identities is represented.
