This study examined region (i.e., U.S. Midwest vs. South) as a moderator between moral foundations and attitudes toward evolution and homosexuality. There were no interaction effects; however, across both regions, the harm and purity foundations predicted both attitudes. Additionally, fairness and region (with people from the South being more negative) predicted attitudes toward homosexuality.
