The current study is the first to investigate the impact of resource inequality on retributive justice and the factors that mediate this relationship. Results indicated that inequality increased appraisals of unfairness and anger which in turn augmented retributive justice. We will discuss implications for the impact of perceived inequality on aggressive behavior.
