The present research aims to show that the effect of general variables on discriminatory behaviors can be moderated by culture-specific variables. We report the results of three studies conducted in France (total N = 1127) showing that the distinctive cultural norm linked to the integration of minorities within a country moderates the effect of two well-known general factors of discrimination.
