The current study investigates performance expectations in relation to hedonic, eudaimonic, and physical well-being. Hopeful and optimistic participants experienced more positive emotion and eudaimonic well-being compared to those who reported less hope and optimism. Participants who braced for the worst reported lower eudaimonic well-being and more sleep disturbance than those who braced less.
