The Cognitive Reflection Test is a widely-used measure that purportedly assesses individual differences in intuition vs reflection. However, many participants told to think carefully did not identify the correct answers among multiple-choice versions without “intuitive” options. Other tests also showed that the CRT has more overlap with numeracy and insight problem solving than previously assumed.
