Examining the effectiveness of the public service announcement targeting the Washington Redskins, "Proud to Be," participants completed a political alignment scale, rated their empathy for Indigenous Peoples, and indicated their agreement to change the name/mascot. Results indicated "Proud to Be" was effective for conservatives as compared to either control PSA.
